Our Uncomfortable Relationship With the Future

One day, you’re launching the newest series of strategic projects in your cybersecurity program; the next day, you’re scrambling to set up secure remote access for all 80,000 of your colleagues to work from home. Not only do we have to pivot and respond to the changing winds of the business, but we also have to remain flexible in the face of targeted attacks, evolving technology, and worldwide events we might anticipate but can’t predict. How do we make a workable budget, divert our resources on a regular basis, and explain our progress to the board when the future is largely capricious?

In this session, we’ll talk about making peace with the unknown, coming at us in milliseconds and years.
