1. Purpose
Tactical Edge is a professional, vendor-neutral cybersecurity event created to promote open knowledge sharing, collaboration, and honest discussion among peers. This Code of Conduct defines the expectations for all participants to ensure a respectful, productive, and sales-free environment.
2. Zero-Tolerance Policy on Sales Pitches
Roundtables:
Sales pitches are strictly prohibited at all roundtable sessions. This applies equally to sponsors, vendors, and attendees.
Outside Roundtables:
Only authorized sponsors may discuss their products or services in designated sponsor areas.
No Exceptions:
Any attempt to use presentations, questions, or networking opportunities to promote or solicit business will be considered a violation of this Code.
Consequences:
Anyone who violates this policy will be removed from the event immediately and permanently banned from all future Tactical Edge events.
3. Respectful Professional Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff are expected to treat one another with dignity, professionalism, and mutual respect.
Harassment, discrimination, offensive remarks, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated in any form.
4. Chatham House Rule
Participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.
Recording devices, photography of presentation materials without permission, and media broadcasting are strictly prohibited during closed sessions.
5. Speaker and Panel Conduct
- Presentations must be educational and vendor-neutral.
- Speakers must not include sales materials, product logos, or promotional slides except when approved in sponsor sessions.
- Any deviation from approved content will result in removal of the presentation and disqualification from future events.
6. Sponsor and Exhibitor Responsibilities
- Sponsors are valued partners, but participation does not grant permission to solicit outside designated sponsor spaces.
- Sponsor staff must follow the same professional conduct rules as attendees.
- Giveaways, demos, or marketing activities must be conducted only within assigned exhibit or lounge areas.
7. Privacy and Media Policy
- Recording or photographing sessions without prior consent is prohibited.
- Personal data of attendees or speakers may not be collected, shared, or used for marketing without consent.
- Press and media representatives must identify themselves clearly and respect off-record discussions.
8. Alcohol, Substances, and Safety
- Responsible behavior is expected at all social events.
- The use of illegal substances or excessive intoxication will result in removal from the venue.
- All participants must follow local laws and venue safety rules.
9. Reporting and Enforcement
Any violation of this Code of Conduct should be reported immediately to the event organizers or Tactical Edge staff. Reports will be handled confidentially and investigated thoroughly.
Tactical Edge reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate, including immediate expulsion without refund and prohibition from future participation.
10. Agreement
Participation in Tactical Edge constitutes acceptance of this Code of Conduct. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and partners agree to uphold these standards and support a collaborative, ethical, and sales-free environment.
